Coaching
You're here because you want to take your career to the next level.
I'm Jan Chipchase, Founder of Studio D, previously Principal Scientist at Nokia's Tokyo Research Laboratory, and as Executive Director also built the Global Insights Practice at consultancy frog design.
Over my 20+ year career, I've worked extensively across a wide range of domains, interacting with a wide range of organisational functions.
My work has been covered by a myriad of publications, from the New York Times to Die Zeit, and I've spoken at TED, The Economist and many other events. I've also published extensively, and am now working on a new book about human and organisational sensemaking.
At a high level, I'm a veteran at:
- Building high performing, cross-cultural teams
- Negotiating in diverse cultures
- Running complex, ethically challenging international research and strategy projects, and applying insights to affect how organisations think, make decisions, often to drive product, strategy and communications
- Founding an agency, product brand, boutique publisher
- Affective communications, including how to shape narratives inside organisations and in the public domain
- Training teams from many of the world's most interesting and successful organisations, through Studio D masterclasses
- Pushing oneself, and one's team well beyond comfort zones
- Maintaining individual and team wellbeing to avoid burn-out
I've coached dozens of individuals throughout my career, including through our Reflecting Forward Fellowship to support the internationally diverse Studio D community. These include employees across all strata or organisations, including directors, C-suite and founders.
